The Lady Wildcats opened the Wampus Cat Classic with a matchup against Lone Grove. Neither team had much success getting points on the board, but Madill held on in this low scoring affair 26-23 over the Lady Longhorns.

Madill faced off with Kingston in the 2nd round. Madill went toe to toe with their district rivals. But the Lady Wildcats couldn’t stop the the Lady Redskins and theirgoodballmovementand timely shooting. Kingston defeated the Lady Wildcats 50-47. Kingston moved on to the finals to face Idabel. Madill took this loss and would play in the 3rd place game on Saturday.

In the third-place game of the tournament the Redskins met up with Eufala. These two teams were evenly matched on paper, as well as on the hardwood. The Lady Wildcats upped their record to 9-7 with the 39-34 victory over the Lady Ironheads to take the 3rd place trophy in the Classic. Up next for Madill aregamesatSulphurand then returning home against Lone Grove.
