Madill went toe to toe with the Plainview Indians on December 15inagamethatcame down to the wire, but the Lady Wildcats lost in overtime, 3230. Both squads exchanged buckets in a back and forth game that ultimately came down to a late steal and fast break basket by the Lady Indians to seal the victory in the extra period.

Plainview showed strong defense against Madill on the night, notching 13 steals which led to plenty of fast breaks for the Lady Indians. Madill had their share of steals in the game as well, and Arlette Andrade showed her quick hands by piling up a handful of takeaways of her own. L’Miyah Brown had the hot hand early for Madill, draining a few three-pointers to keep the game tight. However, a tough break late in overtime was the difference, as Plainview came up with the steal that led to the game winner.

Madill has dropped three straight games, dropping their record to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in Lake County play. The next district game for the Lady Wildcats is a home game against the Lady Pirates of Byng on the January 9. Plainview ups their record to 5-2, with a 1-0 district mark. Next up for the Lady Indians is a home game against the Lady Longhorns of Lone Grove on January 9.
