Esequiel Rodriguez is a senior at Madill High School and has attended Madill public schools since the beginning. His proud parents are Esequiel Rodriquez and Cynthia Perez and has a brother named Aaron Rodriguez.

Rodriquez currently participates in football and powerlifting. In middle school, he ran for the cross-country team. He has received various medals over the years in both powerlifting and cross country.

He said his favorite memory was beating Kingston in football his junior year in high school. However, when it comes to his biggest challenge, he said he fears that it going to be letting go of football after this year.

Rodriquez said his family and coaches have always been a huge support system. “All my coaches over the years have been very supportive and inspiring,” he said. “I appreciate all the support and everything they have taught me. I wouldn’t be the player I am without them.”

“My parents have inspired me growing up because they are hard workers and support me on everything,” he continued. “I am grateful for them because they have always been proud of me and never gave up on me.”

Rodriquez said he plans to attend a technology center and get a job after high school. His advice to the younger classmen is, “Have fun and never give up.”
