Allyson Knight

Allyson Knight, a 19-yearold student, has attended Madill schools for five years. She actively participates in various sports and activities, including basketball, slowpitch and fast-pitch softball. Knight has achieved significant recognition in her sports career, receiving accolades such as being named to the All-Tournament Team in the 2021-2022basketballseason, receiving the Sharp-Shooter award, and being recognized as Co-Offensive Player in basketball.

She said one of her favorite memories from her activities was when the team had the opportunity to visit Broken Bow and spend quality time together. This experience allowed them to bond and create lasting memories.

When it comes to inspiration, Knight credited her father as her biggest inspiration in life. His support and guidance have played a crucial role in shaping her character and motivating her to overcome challenges.

Knight said she would like to express her gratitude to her coaches. To Coach Runyan, she wanted to convey her appreciation for treating her with respect and believing in her abilities. To CoachHolmes,shesaidsheis grateful for joining the team during her senior year and providing her with a fresh perspective on basketball. Lastly, to Coach Humphery, she thanked him for always being there to answer her questions about plays, life, and being a patient listener when she needed to vent.

Knight also wanted to express her heartfelt gratitude to her parents and adult figures in her life. She said she considers them her number one supporters and acknowledges their unwavering assistance throughout her journey. She wanted them to know that she loves them deeply.

Looking ahead, Knight said she plans to attend Murray State College and pursue a career as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Her future aspirations involve helping others through the healing process.

For her younger classmates, Knight’s advice is to trust the process and remain resilient. No matter how challenging the road may seem, she assures them that it will eventually lead to better times.
