The Texoma Fire District Spring Roadside Cleanup was a tremendous success. Thank you to all the Volunteer firefighters and their families who came out and picked up trash along Texoma Park Road. Also, thanks to the wonderful Ladies Auxiliary for providing such a wonderful breakfast for all afterwards. Please don’t throw trash out your window and help keep our roads clean.

Daylight savings time is next Sunday, March 14, so remember to spring forward an hour.

Spring is just around the corner, March 20 as a matter of fact. This time of year, we think about cleaning up around our property, but you want to be careful. You are not the only one wanting outside, snakes are already coming out. So, please be careful and watch those little ones too.

The Texoma Fire District is still looking for new volunteer firefighters. If you are interested in joining the Texoma Volunteer Fire Department, contact Chief Todd Cissell at (580) 565-4491. You can also pickup an application from the mailbox at the station, fill it out and return to the station. Chief Cissell will contact you. Everyone is welcome, so consider joining. The fire department truly needs your support.

Texoma Fire District Ladies Auxiliary activities have been canceled until further notice. There are still quit a few ladies that don’t feel comfortable in groups.

Lighthouse United Methodist Church Teens meet on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., dinner is served at 6:00 p.m. All teenagers in the area are welcome to attend.

Thank you and everyone stay safe.
