Most everybody in Marshall County knows what the National Sand Bass Festival is. For anybody who is unsure, it is annual festival that is held in the square around the MarshallCountyCourthouse.

Typically, the festival consists of rides, food vendors and other activities for guests. Unfortunately, unseen circumstances can damper festivities, sometimes. The NSBF saw one of the unforeseen circumstances this year.

On June 9, at approximately 8:50 p.m., they experienced a power outage east of the midway. According to the Facebook post, one of the generators broke a belt.

Festival officials diligently worked on rerouting the power to get the midway back up and running. Most of the midway was back to life around 9:20 p.m. However, two of the rides were out of commission till Saturday, June 10.

Festival officials worked hard to make sure every guest enjoyed their visit to the NSBF this year.
