Gwen is heading home for the holidays with one plan in mind: to make it through Christmas day with none of the spotlight on her. With a boyfriend who recently cheated on her, and put on mandatory leave from her job, it’s safe to say her life is steadily going down the drain.

Not to mention, she can’t be in the same room as her sister without getting into an argument. To make matters worse, when her family’s Christmas dinner ends up in flames, Gwen finds herself stuck in a time loop reliving Christmas day over and over again. Determined to break this disastrous spell, Gwen decides to fulfill the Christmas wish of each of her family members.

As Gwen tries to change things and to discover who might have made a wish to have this happen, she realizes that maybe the person she needs to focus on is herself. Can Gwen find what she wants for Christmas while helping her family truly come together as a unit?

Fromallthereviewsabout this book, months in advance into actually reading it, there were a few details that stood out.

1. The love interest is Gwen’s childhood crush Dev Jones, who just so happens to be engaged. 2. It is eerily similar to Groundhog Day, but just with Christmas. 3. It’s a great holiday novel for this upcoming Christmas.

Not to mention, it’s a story about reconnecting with your family after years of misunderstandings and arguments, and learning to come together and look past their differences.

At only $23, this book is a bit more on the pricey side for a holiday book, but if you're looking for a cheaper version, the audiobook is $10, and the kindle version is only $1. It will definitely be worth your time, and an amazing holiday novel to add to your bookshelf, or even as a stocking stuffer.
