BCF: Resolutions to keep

The new year is here. Let’s pray that 2023 will be a good year, full of hope, fulfi lled dreams and answered prayers. I’m sure the gyms will be busy for the first few months anyway, but unfortunately so many of us don’t follow through. Make a commitment and stick with it.

Iwanttomentionthatthe BCVFD will be conducting a controlled burn in Jurassic Park sometime in January to help control the weeds and underbrush which have taken over much of the park due to the flooding in past years. More information will be shared when we find out more.

Thank you for your continued support of our little park down by the lake. It is enjoyed by so many and every year we try to improve thegroundsandroadswhere needed. The renewal letters for the new stickers will be forthcoming as we go into the new year. There will also be a booth open in March for the “Burning of the Socks” event. More information to follow later.

TheAnchor’NRestaurant is still serving up some fantastic vittles and will soon open their other establishment located in Enos. We are all very excited and wish them well in their business venture.

There will be drawing classes at the Madill Art club building in Madill every Thursday, starting January 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Each session is $15. You will need to bring your own drawing tablet and the rest will be provided. Check it out as there are other art classes ready to start as well!

The fishermen in the area are joyously catching their limit and beyond at Lake Texoma. Be sure to try your hand at it. The weather has been fabulous as well.

Kingston schools will reopen January 2 and all the kiddos will return from their holiday break. Stay safe and have a great week.
