The Light up the Marina eventwasheldattheMarina on Saturday; December 3 and it had a great turnout. The Christmas lights came on at dusk and everyone enjoyed the fire and hot dogs. The Texoma Southern Baptist Church will be hosting their annual Christmas Dinner for their churchwide membersonWednesday,December 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Shay Community Center. The Christmas Ornament Party that was held earlier this month was a huge success as the church ladies brought a gift to exchange and enjoyed tasty treats and shared fellowship.
A reminder that this Wednesday, December 14, Chickasaw Communications, and your Fire Department will be working on the storm siren. They plan to start around 10:30am. Once the upgrades are completed, they will start testing monthly at a set time and day. Also on December 20, the department will host their monthly meeting at the fire hall at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
