We have several Thanksgiving dinners coming up this month. The Shay Community Centerwillbehaving their annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. The Center will provide everything. Just bring side dishes or dessert. Everyone is welcome.
The Texoma Southern Baptist church will be having their church-wide Thanksgiving Dinner at the Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Hall on Wednesday, November 16 at 6:00 p.m. Bring your favorite dish and share in the fellowship. Everyone should enjoy your meals now and worry later about starting your weight lose regimens in January.
Word is out that we have someone who will be taking over the “Light Up the Marina” event that has been going on for a few years now at the Buncombe Creek Marina. Jack Ehmann has stepped down and hopefully we can keep this fun event going. The lights usually get turned on the Saturday right after Thanksgiving. A lot of work goes into changing bad lights out, setting up, and maintaining the display until January 1. I will write more as information becomes available. Stay safe and warm.
