The trees have been beautiful this fall with the leaves changing slowly and the abundant color mixing is gorgeous. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Now, it is time to get through the Christmas season and for some that have an empty chair at the table, this time of year is always a challenge. I wish you all a joyous holiday season.

Be sure to come on down to the Buncombe Creek Marina this coming Saturday, December 3 just before dusk as we “Light up the Marina. (We had to cancel Nov. 26th due to inclement weather).

There will be hot dogs and chips for everyone. Bring your lawn chairs, hot dog sticks and drinks while you enjoy the bonfire. The Christmas Lights will be turned on at dusk.

This is a yearly event and is made possible by volunteers and donations. Please come out and show your support.

TheBuncombeBabesRed Hat group will be meeting in Kingston at the El Tequila Mexican Restaurant this Friday, December 2 for their monthly get together.This group of ladies has been around for over 10 years and is still a must for getting together and swapping stories.

Be sure to come on over to the Shay Community Center as they host their annual Christmas Dinner on Thursday, December 8 at 6:30. The Center is providing the entire meal, so just show up with your Holiday Cheer and join in fellowship while youenjoygoodfoodandthose around you.

There will be a gift exchange with a $10.00 maximum on your gift. Girls bring for girls and men bring gifts for men.Everyone is welcome.

You do not have to participate in the gift exchange. Only those interested should bring a gift to share. Hope to see you there.Stay safe and have a good week.
