The Striper are still biting here on Lake Texoma. Call one of the guides to book your fishing trip and catch your limit in no time. Archery season for deer is still going on here in Oklahoma until January 15, so remember to wear your orange when walking in the woods.

The Texoma Southern Baptist Church will be hosting their annual church wide Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 15 at 6 p.m. Be sure to sign up for what you would like to bring.

Brisket and Chicken will be provided as well as some great fellowship. They will also open their doors again Saturday, December 18 from 9:00 a.m. to noon for the “Open Arms Clothes Closet.” They have clothes for everyone in the family. You may find some good winter clothes for you or your children.

The Shay Community Center is gearing up for their Christmas Party coming up this Thursday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m. The center will provide ALL the finger food, desserts and hot apple cider, coffee, or tea.

There will also be a gift exchange if you would like to participate. Gifts not to exceed $10.00. If you bring children, please provide a gift for them as well.

This is the first time in over a year the center has been able to open so we hope the members will come and enjoy the food, fellowship, and Christmas cheer.

I hope you all have been able to head down to the Buncombe Creek Marina and enjoy the Christmas lights after dark. They are truly awesome this year. They will remain on until January 1, 2022.

The Kingston School’s Christmas Break will run from December 20 to 31. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and blessings for the new year.
