I hope everyone got out this past Saturday to attend the “Burning of the Socks” eventdownattheBuncombe Creek Marina. Although it was rather cool and windy, a good crowd was in attendance.

The Chili Cook-off was a huge success with approximately 20 entrants. Jimbo Edwards of J&J BBQ & Catering, LLC took first place. Everyone did a fantastic job of cooking this year. I had a hard time deciding who to choose.

There were around 20 who boldly entered the cold water for the Polar Plunge this year. Can’t wait for next year to come around.

The Kingston children are back in school from their week of spring break and March 20 marked the beginning of spring. Warm weather is just around the corner.

Although the temps have been quite chilly with this north wind, folks are still catching their limits of Striper on Lake Texoma. If you can weather the frigid cold, it is well worth it.
