Texoma: December 6. Elevation above normal, water 58. Striped bass good on Alabama rig, flukes, and live shad around flats, main lake, and points. Blue catfish fair on cut bait and shad below the dam, and around main lake and points. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, and tube jigs around brush structure and docks. Fishing has been good the past week. Lots of birds working on the lake, fishermen should focus on these areas. Dead sticking and using sassy shads on working birds are good ways to fill a limit. Plastics color varies from day to day. Use electronics to find schools of fish. Live bait fishing for stripers is still an effective method, when targeting winter blues big bait normally means big fish, use drift socks to slow boat on windy days. Arbuckle: December 9. Elevation normal, water 53 and clear to stained. Largemouth and spotted bass good on Alabama rig, crankbaits, and shakey head worms around the main lake. Smallmouth bass good on shakey head worms and Alabama rigs. Crappie excellent on spoons in 43 ft. of water. White bass excellent jigging spoons in 29 ft. of water. Bluegill good around docks. Blue River: December 9. Elevation normal, water 47 and clear. Rainbow trout excellent on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbait, nymphs, and PowerBait around channels, river channel, and below falls behind current breaks. Report submitted by Ethan Lovelace.
Broken Bow: December 6. Elevation above normal, water 61. Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass fair on Alabama rig, crankbaits, and spoons around brush structure and points. Eufaula: December 6. Elevation above normal, water murky. Crappie good on jigs and minnows around docks and main lake. Crappie good on jigs and minnows below the dam, and around brush structure, channels, main lake, river channel, and standing timber.
