“Peace - Love- Fair”

Marshall County residents are invited to enter their photography, garden produce, homemade quilts, flower arrangements or woodworking crafts, and a long list of other handmade or homegrown items, in the 2022 Marshall County Free Fair. This year's fair is September 8 through September 10attheCountyFairgrounds in the William Ray City Park in Madill.

'Marshall County residents can enter their items and win bragging rights,” said Shauni Kimbro, Marshall County Extension Service County Extension Director. 'Not only that, but they can also win cash prizes and blue ribbons.”

The Marshall County Fair Book, which lists all categories in the fair, along with a scheduleofspecialeventsand contests has been around the County and is also available at the Marshall County Extension Service office, 11545 Hwy 70 in the Marshall County Expo Center.

Exhibits entered in the fair must have been made, grown or constructed during the past year and should be entered during the first day of the fair from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., September 8 at the Fairgrounds.

'There's no fee to enter anything in the fair or to take part in any of the special contests or events,” said AmandaCox,theFamilyand ConsumerSciencesEducator for the Extension Service. 'This is just a wonderful opportunity for people in our county to perhaps get exposure before the state fair or to compete in a smaller setting.”

In addition to the exhibits, the Marshall County Free Fair will offer a number of special contests.
