Labor Day Weekend is fast approaching so watch out for the extra folks that will be down here enjoying the lake.
Be sure to come to the Buncombe Creek Community Center on Saturday, Aug. 31 for their Labor Day breakfast and Ladies Auxiliary bake sale. The breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and runs until food is gone. Also, be sure to purchase cookies or any of the baked items on sale to enjoy for the weekend. The ladies will be serving eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy as well as juice and coffee. All this is by donation.
I want to mention that Ralph Greybeal, as well as Liz O’Neil, is dealing with some health issues which are seeing them in and out of hospitals lately. I pray they will both find healing mercies to get them through this.
Bingo is back on Saturday, September 7 with mini-games starting at 6:30 p.m. and regular bingo at 7:30 p.m. at the Buncombe Creek Community Center. Be sure to come down and enjoy the games and possibly win some money.
Our Jurassic Park here in Buncombe Creek has started to get busy with the warm temps getting folks out enjoying the beaches and golf carting. So many of you are wonderful to pick up trash and help to keep it looking nice. They hope to get more gravel and another picnic table down there before too long.
