Woman arrested for abuse with a cane

A Cartwright resident was arrested and booked into the Grayson County Jail stemming from allegations of abuse in March 2020. Patty Armstrong, 57, was arrested on November 12, 2021, after being charged with Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The report alleges that Armstrong beat a family member with a cane, causing significant bodily injury.

The United States Marshal Service Eastern Oklahoma Fugitive Task Force, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the Grayson County Criminal District Attorney's Office worked in concert to investigate and apprehend Armstrong.

She currently faces charges for Attempted Murder, Injuring the Elderly/Disabled, Aggravated Domestic Abuse/Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Domestic Abuse/ Assault and Battery. Armstrong is being held without bail, and has no attorney listed.

Armstrong also has Oklahoma prior convictions for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Public Intoxication, AND Domestic Abuse/Assault and Battery.
