Kingston senior Brycen Ward is a 2023 Oklahoma Academic All-State award recipient. The Academic All-State award is one of the most prestigious student honors in Oklahoma. It is presented to only 100 outstanding public high school seniors in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership and community service. Madill’s Kaz Christian, Codie Shaw and Maddie Ritchie (pictured left to right) advanced to day two of competition at the OSSAA girls wrestling regional in Mustang February 14. None advanced to state. Madill hosted the basketball District on Saturday February 18. The boys team won the Class 4A Area III District 1 championship. The Madill boys basketball team also swept the Lake Country Conference tournament and took the championship title. The Lake Country Conference in basketball included Madill, Comanche, Kingston, Dickson, Plainview, Byng, Sulphur, Marietta, Lone Grove and Tishomingo. Summer Bryant

Kingston High school short stop Klete Finley signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Eastern Oklahoma State College on February 14. Finley was a part of the Redskins’ State quarterfinals team in 2021 and the State finals team in 2022.
