Krislyn Anderson is a senior softball player at Madill High School. She is the daughter of Keith and Tiffany Anderson, granddaughter to Micheal and Janean James, as well as a sister to Gavin and Gaige Anderson. She has attended Madill public schools all twelve years of school. Anderson participates in both fastpitch and slowpitch softball.
Anderson said her biggest challenge has been proving herself in softball while also trying to stay at the top of her senior class. She said her favorite memory from softball was senior night when the team played well for the seniors and helped them bond and grow closer. She said she wanted to thank the ones who taught her how to play.
“I’d like to tell my coaches thank you for putting up with me all of the years,” Anderson said. “You all taught me how to be a better player and a better person. I truly appreciate it.”
Her inspiration though comes from her coach, Molly Raley, and her mom.
“They both saw the potential I had and pushed me to do great things.”
“When it comes to inspiration in life, I would say most definitely I get it from my parents,” she continued. “They have pushed me to do great things in life and helped me to believe that I can do something amazing with my life.”
“They have raised me for the eighteen years than I have been on this earth. They have been trying to get me ready for what lies ahead after high school. I have learned to keep pushing for the things I want. They have done an amazing job helping and loving me throughout these many years. Whatever comes next I’m going to make them proud.”
Anderson’s plans after high school is to get her basics out of the way at Murray and then transfer over to Tulsa University and major in criminal terminology and or nursing. Her advice for the younger classmates is, “don’t give up, it gets rough sometimes but in the end everything will be worth it.”
