Sharon Hammon

Sharon Hammon, 71, of Madill, Oklah. passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Madill Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1951, in Wewoka, Oklahoma to the late Earnest Lee “Rod” Rogers and Donna Jean Ricks Rogers. Sharon was raised in Lindsay, Okla. and moved to Madill at the age of 12. She graduated from the Madill High School in 1969 and later attended Vo-tech in Ardmore, Okla. where she received her cosmetologist license.

She worked for the Madill Pants Factory till 1988 when she went to work for the Marshall County Court Clerk Office retiring in 2016. Sharon married Howard Leon Hammon on May 28, 1976, in Ada, Okla. and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2017.

She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Madill where she loved going and she has served as church secretary, organized funeral dinner, and sang on the praise team. Sharon enjoyed going to her grandkids sporting events and her greatest love were her kids and grandkids until her great grandkids came along.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Lee Rogers and one niece, Tammy Maxey.

She is survived by her children, Misty Navarrett and Chase of Kingston, Okla., Tim Hammon and Amy of Kingston, Okla., Tenna Hammon of Tishomingo, Okla.; grandchildren, Brennon Davis of Mead, Okla., Stormie Finch and Damon of Butcher Pen, Okla., Haelee Davis and Jason of Butcher Pen, Okla., Hunter Hammon, Kingston, Okla., Shelby Beal of Kingston of Okla., Destanee Hulsebus of Wynnewood, Okla., Harmony Hammon of Kingston, Okla., Zander Rawlinson of Tishomingo, Okla., and Sydney Navarrett of Kingston, Okla.; great grandchildren, Wisdom Davis, Scarlett Davis, Rosco St. Clair, Atticus Finch, Lydia Phillips and Larason Finch; and brother, Rick Rogers and wife Jeanie of Kingston, Okla.

Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2022, at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, 6, 2022 at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Rev. Sam Huff, Rev. Weldon Wright and Pastor Jeff Manuel will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
