Robert Lee “Hot” Duncan 91, of Madill, Okla., passed away Oct. 24, 2019, at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was born on Feb. 3, 1928, in Cumberland, Okla.; to the late Robert Cecil Duncan and Edna George Duncan. He served in the United States Army and later married Barbara Bernice Henry on July 2, 1948, in Gainesville, Texas, and lived a full and rewarding life.

Robert successfully raised and trained bird dogs, competing in top level field trials and winning multiple national championships. He was a passionate outdoorsman with a love of fishing and hunting. Robert was a beloved husband, father with many wonderful grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is survived by wife: Barbara Duncan, Madill, Okla.; children: Dickie Duncan and wife, Gwen Blanchard, Okla.; Mike Duncan and wife, Marilyn, Blanchard, Okla.; grandchildren: Michelle Mitchell, Curtis Duncan, Bobby Duncan and Mark Duncan. Great-grandchildren: Taylor Mitchell, Jaden Mitchell, Jalee Mitchell, Kyla Mitchell, Annilyn Duncan and Charlie Norris. Brothers: Kenneth Duncan, Cumberland, Okla.; George Duncan, Edmond, Okla.; sisters: Lucille Carlton, Tyler, Texas; Pat Hardage, Georgetown, Texas; Bobbie Rodgers, Weatherford, Texas.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Melvin Duncan.

Visitation was Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla., from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Services were 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at the Cumberland Cemetery, Cumberland, Okla. Cecil Mackey officiated the service. Music was arrange by Kyla Mitchell.
