Oteka Nell LeFlore Minter Beasley, 88, of Madill, Okla. went to the Lord on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at her home in Madill. She was born on August 24, 1934, in Woodville, Okla. to the late CharlesHoraceLeFloreandHazelEverett LeFlore.

Oteka was raised in Kingston where she graduated high school in 1951. She married Joseph “Joe” Oliver Minter IV on August 17, 1952, in De Queen, Ark. and he preceded her in death on September 12, 1999. Oteka worked for ONG until she retired at the age of 65.

She later married Guy Nicholas “Nick” Beasley on November 18, 2006, in Madill and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2019. Oteka enjoyed working in the garden, playing golf, and traveling. Her greatest love was spending time with family and friends like Doris Pate and her sisters. Oteka was a member of the First Methodist Church in Madill, the Kingston Alumni Association, Madill B&PW, Madill Rose Garden, Madill Bridge Club, and the Lake Texoma Women’s Golf Association.

Oteka was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, Jodie Minter; sisters, Lawana Jean Self, and Sharon Freema and two brothers, Colin and Charles LeFlore.

She is survived by her children, Ann Chapman and husband Willis of Madill, Okla., Michael Minter and wife Jennifer Sharpe-Potter of San Antonio, Texas; stepchildren, Robbin Rice, Nancy Beasley Pate, Nick Beasley; daughter-in-law, Vicky Minter of Madill, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Georgia Minter, Sara Minter, Andrea Griffin-Talavera, Christi Holder, Katy Smith, Richard Minter, Elizabeth Minter, Alexandra Beaver; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Paul LeFlore and wife Sandra of Aubrey, Texas; sister, Brenda Jones of Kingston, Okla.; sister-in-law, Fern LeFlore, Dallas, Texas Visitation was held Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The funeral service was Monday, July 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Pastor Toni Hignight and Michael Minter officiated the service. Interment was at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
