Loretta Faye White, 65, of Madill, Okla. passed away on April 12, 2022, at Carrus Hospital in Sherman, Texas. She was born on January 18, 1957, in Lake Charles, La., to the late Newton H. Arterberry and Helen Marie Langley Arterberry. She graduated from Madill High School in 1973 at the age of 16.
Loretta married Wendell Kenny White on November 3, 1978, in Andalusia, Ala. They traveled and lived in different areas while Kenny was working in the oil field industry, and they have lived the past five years in Madill.
Loretta was a proud Cajun, and she was an excellent cook. She was known as a momma bear and adored her grandkids and spending time with her family. Loretta enjoyed playing poker, going to concerts and watching LSU football.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Arterberry; granddaughter, Madison White; and one nephew, Bobby Arterberry.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny White of Madill, Okla.; children, Shannon Talkington and husband Wesley of Madill, Okla., Jeremy White and Crystal Stepp of Shreveport, La., and Kenna White of Madill, Okla.; grandchildren, Skylar Tatum, Kenley Tatum, Addie Stuckey, Austin Talkington, Randall White, Emily White, and Kanen Stepp; siblings, Rickey Arterberry and wife Nell, Marthaville, La., Ronny Arterberry and wife Becky of Many, La., and Brenda Rayborn and husband David of Florence, Miss.
Visitation was Sunday, Aprill7, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
Funeral service werebe Monday, April18, 2022 at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Jesse West officiated the service. Interment was at the Powell Cemetery in Powell, Okla.
