Lillie Lou Hallmark

Lillie Lou Hallmark, 92, passed away on March 9, 2022, at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill, Okla. She was born on June 7, 1929, in Kingston, Okla. to the late James Carl Tillman and Effie Landreth Tillman.

Lillie was raised in Kingston and attended Simpson school. She married Curtis Arnold Hallmark on July 7, 1945 in Ardmore, Okla. and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2011. They soon moved to Blackwell, Okla. and then returned back to Madill around 1972 where she lived the rest of her life.

Lillie attended the Blackwell Church of Christ from the 1940s to 1972, after moving, she then attended the Oakland Church of Christ from 1972 to 2007 and was currently attending the Madill Church of Christ. She spent many years teaching children’s bible classes, as well as, arranging church meals and activities. She was a devoted christian, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, singing, and spending time pampering her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Charles (Charlie Frank) Tillman; sisters, Opal Tina (Tiny) Martin, Helen Netherton, Daisy Huffman Burris, Vi Looney; grandson, Jimmy Atnip; and son in-law, Phillip Dechene.

She is survived by her children, Charles Kirk Hallmark and wife, Deborah Sue Hallmark of Guthrie, Okla.; grandchildren, Cris Kahle and wife, Jill of Ft. Myers, Fla., Jeni Funderburk and husband Ronnie of Dunedin, Fa., Tabitha West and husband Mark of Hickory, NC, Curtis Kyle Hallmark and wife of Kaitlin, Madill, Okla., Leslie Hearn and husband of Waddel, Durant, Okla.; great grandchildren, Emily Kahle, Dana Kahle, Jackson Funderburk, Preston Funderburk, Grayson Hearn, Addison Hearn, Elora Hallmark, Dustin Atnip, and Krissy Atnip.

Visitation was hneld Monday, March 14, 2022, at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Service was Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., March 15, 2022 at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Layne Heitz and Waddel Hearn Jr. officiated the service. Interment was at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Okla.

Casket Bearers were Dustin Atnip, Waddel Hearn, Kent Hallmark, Curtis Kyle Hallmark, Cris Kahle, and Joshua Gibson. Honorary Bearers were Leonard Huffman, Jerry Eldridge, Mark West, and Ronnie Funderburk.
