Joe Ferrell Devin 80, of Powell, Okla. passed away on December 28, 2019 at his home in Powell. He was born on October 21, 1939 in Madill, Okla. to the late Luther Henry Devin and Pauline Evorie Herndon Devin. Joe was raised in Panhandle, Texas where he graduated from Panhandle High School in 1958. He joined the United States Army and served from 1959 to 1961. Joe lived in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Powell in 1973 where he lived the rest of his life. He married Mary Elaine Acree on June 6, 1971 in Baltimore. Joe worked in the trucking industry as a driver, dispatcher and terminal manager. He retired in 2008 as partner/owner and operator of Asphalt Express. Joe was affiliated with the Church of Christ faith and he enjoyed playing Texas Holdem, gardening and was proud of his tomatoes.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Elaine Devin, Powell, Okla.; children: Paul Devin, Kingston, Okla., Thomas Ahl and wife Daniela Ahl, San Antonio, Texas, Stephanie Raper and husband Johnny, Ravia, Okla., Karen Khan and husband Mohammad, Lake Charles, La.; grandchildren David, Kevin, Josh, Taryn, Kolbi, Harlee, Quin, Neely, Hinnah, Jasper, Acree, Amanda, Laura, Cassidy, Joe, Zane, Justice, Ashlynne, Austin, Preston, Daniel, Jessica, and Liam Taylor; 23 Great Grandchildren; his brother: Luther Thomas Vickers, Ardmore, Okla. sister: Jane Klett and husband Hollis, Amarillo, Texas, sister Dixie Surratt, Amarillo, Texas.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons; Joe Jr and Mark Devin, 1 granddaughter; Taylor and 1 infant brother; J. R. Devin.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Archie Trimble, Richard Herndon, James Ackley, Thomas Acree, Glen Brownlee, Blaine Eaton, Dick Gripp (deceased) and Jim Eaton (deceased).

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2019 at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Okla.. B. J. Buckaloo will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
