Jimmy Douglas James, 79, of Madill, Okla. passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was born on March 22, 1941 in Mead to the late Alvin Asbon James and Texoma Pauline Rains James.

Jimmy was raised in Ackerly, Texas and worked in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator. He traveled with his work and lived in Indiana, Lubbock, Texas, Grapevine, Texas, Granbury, Texas and Godley, Texas before moving to Madill.

He married Delores Ann Piercy on August 11, 1990 in Cleburne, Texas. Jimmy was a member of the Enville Community on loved his family and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Delores Ann James of Madill, Okla., his children; Sonja Owens and husband Mark of Granbury, Texas, Timmy James and wife Kelly of St. Charles, Mo., Jennifer Bussie and husband Ted of Theordore, Ala., Jesse James of Madill, Okla., Sally Tillery and husband Frank of Forestburg, Texas, Terry Posey of Granbury, Texas, and Kevin “Skuter” Posey of Madill, Okla., 30 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, brother Gary James and wife Peggy of Granbury, Texas, sisters; Sue Seely of Lubbock, Texas, Brenda Prentice of Lubbock, Texas, Betty Chapman of Lubbock, Texas, and Grace Bullard of Lubbock, Texas, and loved also by many nephews, nieces and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Tina Louise James, one grandson; Ricky C. Mori, brothers; Alvin James, Jr., Billy Joe James, Jesse James and Bobby James and one sister; Glenda James.

Service will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Enville Community Church in Enville, Okla. Rev. Don Keizor will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
