Jennifer Renae Jacobson

Jennifer Renae Jacobson, of Pauls Valley, passed away September 22, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Okla. at the age of 42 years.

Jennifer Wellman was born February 10, 1979 in Ardmore, Okla. to Dewayne and Karen (Gossvener) Wellman. She was raised in Madill, Okla. and is a graduate of the Madill High School. She furthered her education by earning her bachelor’s degree from The University of Central Oklahoma.

She married Lucas Jacobson of Pauls Valley, Okla. on July 28, 2001. They lived in Norman, Moore, Tulsa, and Claremore, Okla. as well as Rowlett, Texas before making Pauls Valley their home for almost six years. Jennifer was a loving mother and homemaker, and member of Crossroads Church of Pauls Valley.

Jennifer was a devoted follower of Christ. She poured her heart into her family. In addition to homeschooling her kids and others, she loved gardening with her children. As a gifted photographer, she captured the most important moments in her family and friends’ lives. Upon meeting someone, Jennifer always went out of her way to make sure they felt welcomed and got to know them. She always found some way to help.

Her smile and laugh would fill up a room. Jennifer always wanted to know what was going on in the lives of her people and she invested in them well. She loved to listen to the wisdom of those who were older, and valued mentoring those who were younger.

She was a trustworthy friend and comforter, a selfless daughter and sister, and to those of us who will miss her most - she was a beautiful wife and a loving mother.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl Maddison and Wanda Jean (Brady) Wellman; and her maternal grandparents, John Dana and Wilma Ruby (Rhoton) Gossvener.

Her surviving family include her husband of over 20 years, Lucas Jacobson; three children, Leighton Jacobson, Isaac Jacobson, and Ruby Kate Jacobson; her parents, Dewayne and Karen Wellman; two sisters, Amy Fields and her husband Chris, and LeAnne Smithee and her husband, Ryan; one sister-in-law, Bailey Jacobson Ballsrud and her husband Nick; brother-in-law, Lorin Jacobson and his wife Tye; parents-in-law, Bert Jacobson, Cindy Schuermann and husband Rick; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
