George Edward Wright 74, of Kingston, Okla. passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 17, 1946 in Salem, Ill. to the late Edgar Wright and Helen Steen Wright. George was raised in Healdton, Okla.and graduated from Healdton High School in 1964 and later attended East Central University in Ada, Okla.

He was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 and served until 1972 during Texaco until he retired in 2008. He married Debra Darlene Ratliff on February 1971 in Healdton and moved to Stroud, Okla. and Ozona, Texas. In 1975, they made their home in Healdton and later moved to Kingston in 2014 where he worked for the Kingston Schools for seven years.

George was the most patient, caring, devoted husband, dad and grandfather and would do anything for his family from changing light bulbs to changing the oil in our cars. He never missed a softball game ofhis daughters and spent endless hours with them practicing in the back yard and going to lessons. Later when he had grandchildren, he loved attending their activities and having them around. George would beam with pride when talking about their accomplishments. He enjoyed working on old cars and doing things around the house, watching Nascar and the Oklahoma Browns.

He is survived by his wife Debra Wright of Kingston, Okla., his children Molly Harris and husband Stan of Blanchard, Okla., Monica Auld of Kingston, Okla., five grandchildren; Madison & Kayte Auld, Mason, Paisley and Blaine Harris, his sisters; Nancy Covey and husband Joe of Newcastle, Okla., Virginia Ross of Coon Rapids, Minn. and sister-in-law Kenna Williams of Oklahoma City, Okla.

George was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law; Joe Ross, sister and brother-in-law; Vickie and David Weaver.

Visitation was gekd Monday, January 18, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla.

Funeral Service was Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. Brent Bryant officiated the service. Interment was at the Keller Cemetery in Wilson, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.

Casket Bearers were Jeff Silverhorn, Josh Silverhorn, Jake Silverhorn, Cooper Bryant, Mason Harris, and Michael Hobbs.
