Franklin Mangum Jr., 77, of Kingston, Okla.passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, at his home in Kingston. He was born on April 12, 1946, in Shay, Okla. to the late Edley Willis Mangum and Flora Lucille Arterberry Shields. Frank was raised in Madill where he attended school.
He married Betty Gean Tankersley on April 14, 1969, in Ardmore, Okla. Frank worked as a mechanic for Cat. sh Bay and Soldier Creek Marina and for many years at Godfrey Oil Company in Madill.
He attended the Family Christian Center Church in Madill, and he enjoyed . shing and working on cars.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Nicholas Mangum.
Frank is survived by his wife, Betty Mangum of Kingston, Okla.; son, Chad Franklin Dean Mangum of Kingston, Okla.; . ve grandchildren; siblings, Eddie Mangum of Southgate, Calif., Reba McGlocklin and husband Gary of Oakland, Okla. and Billie Doyal and husband Jimmy of Mannsville, Okla.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Patricia Bell will of. ciate the service. Music is arranged by Patricia Bell and Rhonda Brown.
Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
