Evelyn Wanda Cox, 94, of Madill, Okla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, at the in Madill Hospital. She was born Feb. 6, 1925, in Lebanon, Okla., to the late Charlie Ross Orr and Susie Bell Isbell Orr. Evelyn was raised in McMillan. She married John Henry Cox on January 12, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1997. She lived in Marshall County her entire life and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madill. Evelyn enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved her grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Johnny Edward Cox and wife, Linda, Oakland, Okla.; grandchildren: Jason Cox, Oakland, Okla.; Brian Cox and wife, Elissa, Madill, Okla.; great-grandchildren Kaleb and Hudson Cox; several nieces and nephews; and special friend: Tommy Dillingham.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers: Hubert, Jack, Freeman, Gene, Earl, Ira and Roy Orr and one sister: Pauline Cox

Visitation was Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla., from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Services are 2 p.m.,(today) Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Okla. Randy Kendrix and Roy Vinson will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Okla. Casket bearers are: Kenny Orr, Merle Cox Jr., Todd Gamble, Tony Cox, Ray Allen Hoedebeck and David Hoedebeck. Honorary bearers are: Ralph Cox, Johnny Orr, Darwin Cox, Tommy Orr, Dan Orr, Merle Cox Sr., Gary Ayres and John Stuckey.
