Edwin Stanley Evers, 75 of Mannsville, Okla., died on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Ed was born on March 10, 1946, to parents Roy and Helen Evers in St. Louis, Mo.
The second child of three, he graduated from Chaminade High School in St. Louis and went on to earn a degree in Industrial Technology from Southwest Missouri State University.
Ed married Gail on March 10, 1996, on Lake Texoma. Ed and Gail were the owners of the Sears Store in Ardmore, Okla. Ed's passion was raising cattle with his wife on their ranch near Mannsville.
Ed is survived by his wife Gail Lynn Evers; his motherin-law Ojetta Odom; brother Roy Evers; sister Helaine Mackey and husband Frank; children Elizabeth Smith and husband Rick, Edwin P. Evers and wife Tuesday, Emily Peebles and husband Matt, Kimberly Sweeney and husband Steven, Kelly Thompson and husband Billy; grandchildren, Kade Stanley Evers, Kylee Armstrong and husband Logan, Zac Wagner anf wife Marisa, Wade Smith, Rylee Smith, Sydney McNelly and husband Aaron, Zoe Prendergast, Logan Thompson, Kinsley Sweeney Spencer and husband Steve, Chase Sweeney and wife Ali, Katelyn Sweeney Ringering and husband Josh, Kassidy Sweeney McCrary and husband J ohn; six great-grandchildren and growing.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. Darrell Howard and David Brantley will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
