Eddie William Jones, 76, of Madill, Okla. passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born on February 8, 1945, in Ardmore, Okla. to the late Curney Jones and Mary Mildred Richards Jones. Eddie was raised in Ardmore where he attended school. He moved to Arlington, Texas where he worked on the assembly line for General Motors, retiring after 30 years of employment.
Eddie later moved to Madill where he has enjoyed his retirement fishing and gardening. He was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Creekmore Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Edwards Jones of Madill, Okla., son, Eddie Jones and wife Martha of Indiana, grandchildren; Gabriel “Gabby” Jones of Indiana, Logan Jones of Indiana, and Jacob Jones of Indiana, brothers; David Jones and wife Helen of Kingston, Okla., and Donnie Jones of Madill, Okla., sisters; Mary Isbell and husband Darrell of Madill, Okla., Ruth Eakin of Madill, Okla., and Pat Bell and husband of Madill, Okla., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Rev. Sharon Ferguson Wright will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Provence Cemetery in Ardmore, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
Casket Bearers will be Stephen Hunter, Jody Hunter, Matt Smith, Jon Isbell, Heath McWilliams and Eddie Dewayne Jones.
