Douglas Wayne Tyner Sr. 71, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was born on February 15, 1950, in Madill to the late George Denford Tyner and Mary Pauline Putman Tyner.
Doug was raised in Madill where he graduated high school in 1968. He later attended OSU where he received a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Radiation. After college, he moved back to Madill and worked as a welder and raised his family. Doug was a member of the Little City Baptist Church and he enjoyed riding his Harley, reading, playing music and being with his grandkids.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Paula Kay Offutt.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Pickering Tyner of Madill, Okla.; children; Doug Tyner Jr. and wife Yolonda of Madill, Okla., Michele Dancer and husband Jeff of Bennington, Okla., Gina Treadway and husband Dewayne of Gilmer, Texas, Tressa Matchen and husband Hugh of Kingston, Okla., Jason Tyner of Madill, Okla., Heather Cofer of Madill, Okla., Mathew Tyner and wife Staci of Madill, Okla., Dustin Watkins and wife Lyndsi of Madill, Okla., and Brandi Wheeler of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren; Brady Richardson, Kaitlyn Richardson, Oleta Brittiney Tyner, Trey Treadway, Megan Lollis, Devin Muncrief, Braden Matchen, Brianna Tyner, Douglas Wayne Tyner III, Brissa Brown, Jadie Tyner, Macey Morris, Malarie Bowder, Wyatt Haskins, Jeffrey Ginn, Haylee Jo Tucker, Devon Hatfield and Weston Tyner; great grandchildren; Bria Tyner, Zane Tyner, Quinton Sanders, Delilah Sanders, Jase Garcia, Pacen Brown, Elayna Brown, Braylee Richardson, Kimber Jo Richardson and PresLee Ibarra and Sophia Ibarra; sisters; Linda Lejean Kenedy and Phillip of Enid, Okla., Vicky Henry and husband Robby of Fobb, Okla., and Ellen Stafford and husband Ferrell of Kingston, Okla.
Visitation was held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service was 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Doug Tyner Jr. officiated the service. Music was arranged by Brissa Brown and Buddy Tyner.
Interment wasat the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
