Donald Elger Robertson 90, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away December 24, 2019 at the Veterans Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born on July 14, 1929 in Aylsworth, Oklahoma to the late L. A. Robertson Sr. and Onvie Payne Robertson. He was raised in Madill and graduated from the Madill High School in 1948.
Don started working for Southwestern Bell before he married Jo Ann Shaw on June 25, 1950 in Madill. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2010. Don was drafted into the United States Marines on February 1, 1952 and served till January 31, 1954. He retired in 1985 after 37 years at Southwestern Bell. Don was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Madill and he enjoyed working in the garden, reading, motorcycles and traveling.
He is survived by his children Ray Robertson and wife Mary, of Gainesville, Texas, and Linda Gray and husband Mike from Madill, Oklahoma, grandchildren Will Robertson and wife Jennifer of Gainesville, Texas, Kyle Robertson, of Gainesville, Texas, Doug Robertson and wife Ashley from Denton, Texas, Maddie Cross and husband Jackson from Madill, Oklahoma, and Cameron Gray, Madill, Oklahoma.
He is also survived by his great grandchildren Kylee and Ryan Robertson, Briton Cross, sister Evelyn Fern Rodes, of Bryan, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter; Dona Ann Robertson, one grandson; Clinton Ray Robertson Jr, two brothers; L A Robertson and Clinton Robertson, and one sister; Juarine Reynolds.

Visitation will be Monday, December 30 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Oklahoma. Dan Patman will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
