Dickey (Dick) Dean George, 82, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on February 13, 2020 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born on February 19, 1937 in Birta, Arkansas to the late Rufus Autry George and Irma M. Williams George. Dick was raised in Birta, Yell County, Arkansas and graduated from Ola High School.

He married Kay E. Wineinger on May 31, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas. Dick worked at Boeing Aircraft for 14 years in Wichita. In 1969 the George family moved to Birta where he learned his carpenter skills from working with his dad building houses. He said these were the best working days of his life. He also worked for Rock Island, MKT and later retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 27 years.

In retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, singing at church and in nursing homes. His greatest love was spending time with his family. Dick was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingston where he served as a deacon and enjoyed fishing and wood working.

He is survived by his wife, Kay George of Kingston, Okla., children; Debbie George-Fort of Van Buren, Ark., Pattie Vance and husband Bubba from Little Rock, Ark., Aaron George and wife Amy of Durant, Okla., grandchildren; Olivia Cox and husband Chris, Luke Vance and wife Kaci, Nation Fort, Ethan George, Tate George, Haley Furr, Jared Wiliams, great grandchildre; Eva Kay Cox, Eli Morgan Cox, brother; James George and wife Lanelle from Cote d Ivoire, Africa, sister; Becky Underwood and husband Bob of Dardenelle, Ark.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, sisters; Pat McCoy and Barbara Sue McCoy, and one brother, Danny George.

Memorials may be made to the building fund for the Kingston First Baptist Church, 109 N. Main Kingston, Okla., 73439.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 17, 202 at the First Baptist Church, Kingston, Okla. Steeve Beebe, James George and the church Praise Team led the service.

Graveside service was held Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Birta Cemetery, Birta, Ark at 1:00 p.m.

John Hollbrook, Ricky Kimzey and family singing group led the service. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. Condolences may be send to wattsfuneralhome.com.

Casket bearers were grandsons; Luke Vance, Chris Cox, Nathan Fort, Ethan George, Tate George and Jared Williams. Honorary casket bearers were the deacons from First Baptist Church in Kingston, Okla.
