Colleen Vance, 94, passed away in her sleep Thursday, January 23 surround by her family. Mrs. Vance, a loving grandmother of three, and her late husband E.B. Vance were active members of the Worldwide Church of God from the late 50s through the 70s and then the later iterations of that church, Church of God International and ICG. Starting in the late 60s, Colleen pioneered the transitioning of a small insurance business from manual filing to computer bookkeeping.
Colleen is survived by her daughter Cheryl Kern of Rockwall, Texas; her three grandchildren Vance, Brandon, and Heath Freeman; as well as seven great grandchildren, Caelan, Ella, Owen, Sarah, Cate, Chloe, Alexandra, and Elliot.
The visitation was held on Sunday, January 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview. The graveside funeral will be Saturday, Febraury 1 at Woodberry Forrest Cemetery in Madill at 1:30 p.m.
