Walker
Carol Jean Schoenfelder-Walker, 80, of Kingston, Okla. gained her wings and rejoined her heavenly family in February 8. She was born on December 9, 1942, in St. Joseph, Mo. where she graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School. She graduated from the National School of Aeronautics, Kansas City, Kans. and then made her way to Oklahoma City working as a stewardess for Central Airlines.
There she met her husband Gary and on February 10, 1962, was married in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Oklahoma City. Their travels took them to Mineral Wells, Texas, Isfahan, Iran, Norman, Okla.and finally to Kingston, Okla. Carol provided love and support for her family and was well loved by everyone in her community.
She volunteered her time in many organizations, including Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mineral Wells, Texas and the Norman Oklahoma Municipal Hospital. Besides caring for her family, she enjoyed reading, gardening and her Silver Sneakers classes. Carol was a bright light and will be missed by everyone. She will be forever in our hearts.
Carol was a seven year cancer survivor and she battled with resilience and perseverance.
She is survived by her husband Gary of 61 years; son, John Robert Walker; daughter, Susan Kay Walker-Jeffreys; grandchildren Kyle and Kristopher Jeffreys; sister, Jan Schoenfelder-Wolfe, and husband Tony; niece, Kelly Wolfe; and brother Ken Schoenfelder and wife Sara.
