Carol “Butch” Ray Shipley, 72, of Blanchard, Oklahoma passed away on January 14, 2020 at the Integris Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on May 9, 1947 in Grand Prairie, Texas to the late Leo Pete Shipley and Clara K. Compton Shipley. Butch was raised in Grand Prairie where he graduated high school. He worked at LTV Aircraft Manufacturing before moving to Kingston in 1974.

Butch worked for WW Trailers for 20 plus years, as a Dispatcher at the Marshall County Sheriff Department and the casino in 2001. He retired in 2018.

Butch served as a deacon at the Enos Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing, ranching and feeding his chickens.

He is survived by his children; Mike Shipley and wife Cindy, Kingston, Oklahoma, Carl Shipley and wife Kelli, Blanchard, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Felicity Palmer, Lane Shipley, Dilan Shipley, Neeson Shipley, Ty Shipley, Wes Shipley, Jamon Shipley, Brynn Farmer and Brax Farmer, and four great grandchildren.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Norma Mills and one nephew; Raymond Mills.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Enos Baptist Church, 12223 Snell Rd, Kingston, Okla. 73439 or the American Heart Association, 3401 NW 63rd St #200, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73116.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Enos Baptist Church, Enos, Oklahoma. Joe Patterson officiated the service. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
