Barbara Olene Edwards Smothers, 80, passed away on January 15, 2021. She was born on July 4,1940 in Olney, Ill.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Mannsville and worked for almost 30 years at Walmart. Barbara enjoyed going on cruises with her friends and love spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Olen “Lum” Edwards and Gladys Christy and her husband Dean Smothers.
Barbara is survived by her sons David Smothers and wife Vickie of Cartwright, Okla., and Michael Dean Smothers; sister Anita Ballenger and husband Don of Oklahoma City, Okla., grandsons; Trey Smothers and wife Bethany of Ardmore Okla., Michael Smothers and wife Tasha of Tulsa, Okla., Levi Smothers and wife Chelsey of Ardmore, Okla., Josh Smothers of Texas,and James David Lee of Seattle, Was. great granddaughter; Cadilyn Smothers, great grandsons; Cameron Smothers, Cooper Smothers, Chandler Smothers, Eli Rodman, Trevor Rodman, Michael Smothers, Aiden Smothers and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Barbara Olene Edwards Smothers will be Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 2:00 p.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kirk Blancett officiating. Interment will be at Lone Grove Cemetery. For those at risk or concerned with COVID, the family will be in attendance for visitation Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Levi Smothers, Trey Smothers, Kirk Blancett, Cameron Smothers, Mark Hendrix, and Keith Weems. Honorary bearers are Cooper Smothers and Kevin Blancett. Online condolences may be made at craddockfuneralhome.com.
