Phillip Everett Webb, 86, of Kingston, Okla. passed away on February 1, 2023, at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born on August 18, 1936, in Bluegrove, Texas to the late John Austin Webb and Cuma Myrtle Seabolt Webb. Phillip grew up south of Henrietta, Texas in Clay County where he attended school. Phillip was an outstanding basketball player and also a great volleyball and fast pitch softball player. He graduated from Midway High School in Henrietta and later attended Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.
Phillip married Frances Ann Slaughter on August 24, 1957 in Henrietta. He worked in the oil field, working for Warren Petroleum, Pure and Unocal, in Wichita Falls, Holliday and Nocona, Texas. Phillip also served on the Prairie Valley School Board in Nocona. In 1975, he moved to Kingston and later moved to Cleveland, Okla. in 1979. In 1993 he moved back to Kingston where he lived the rest of his life.
Phillip was very active in his community serving as Mayor of Kingston and serving on the Kingston City Council. Phillip was an active member of the Kingston Church of Christ where he mowed the church yard and changed the lighting. He had a great bass voice and loved singing with the church of Christ singers. Phillip enjoyed going to all sporting events, the coffee shop, and loved working in his shop.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and six brothers.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Frances Ann Webb of Kingston, Okla.; sons, Chris Webb and wife Connie of Kingston, Okla., Gary Webb and wife Kendra of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren,CaliGrimmettandhusbandChris,CadeWebb and wife Mindy, Tamara Tallbear, Lauren Webb, Jacob Wiss, Jonah Wiss, Kinley Harrison and husband Kyle, Maycee Webb, and Grayson Webb; great grandchildren, Hudson Webb,HayvenWebb,CenyanGrimmettArianaLonewolf,Talia Lonewolf, Laicey Lonewolf, Gabriella Tallbear, Desmond Paukei, Dray Paukei, and coming soon;,Caroline Harrison.; great great grandchild, Quinton Lonewolf; siblings, Dan Webb of Bluegrove, Texas, Jack Webb, Henrietta of Texas, Harry Webb of Henrietta, Texas, Jo Meixner of Edmond, Okla., and Georgia James of Searcy, Ark.
Visitation was held Monday, February 6, 2023, at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service was Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. Chris Webb, Gary Webb, Cali Grimmett, and Quinton Jones officiated the service. Interment was at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Oklah. Services are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
