David Terry Qualls

David Terry Qualls 76, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Alliance Hospital in Madill. He was born on May 4, 1946, in Madill to T. L. Qualls and Pearl June Moore Qualls.

David was raised in Madill before moving to Moore where he graduated high school in 1964.He attended Oklahoma State University where he received an associate degree in Metal Technology in 1967. David served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

After moving back to Madill he opened a filling station and garage and then drove a gas truck for his father’s business. David was a reserve deputy for Marshall County. He started working at the Total (now Valero) refinery in Ardmore in 1985, he remained there until his “retirement” in 1999. He worked for several more years for Timec, traveling all across Texas and California.

David married Paula Dyanna Riddles on August 26, 1988 in Madill, and she was the love of his life. David liked to work on cars, hunted and fished whenever he could, loved playing fetch with the dogs, and could sit and visit all day long. He was a great, hard-working man, and he will be dearly missed.

David was preceded in death by his father, T.L.; and two sisters, Rebecca Faught, and Diane Qualls.

He is survived by his wife, Dyanna Qualls of Madill, Okla.; mother, Pearl June Qualls of Madill, Okla.; children, Doug Qualls of Oklahoma City, Okla., Todd Qualls of Moore, Okla., Stewart “Deek” Qualls of Moore, Okla., Gaylynn Pierce of Madill, Okla., Greg Jackson and wife Lisa of Kingston, Okla., Rod Jackson and wife Tammy of Kingston, Okla.; grandchildren, Harley Parker of Mustang, Okla., Storm Pierce of Madill, Okla., Connor Pierce of Madill, Okla., Creed Qualls of Oklahoma City, Okla., Crow Qualls of Oklahoma City, Okla., Kylee Jackson of Kingston, Okla., Dillon Jackson of Ardmore, Okla., and Justin Jackson, Oakland of Oklahoma; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Johnson of Tishomingo, Okla., and Deborah Tull, Poteau, Okla.
