Charles Turner, 97, of Palmetto, Fla. passed away July 28, 2022. Charles was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ry Turner and was born and raised in Marshall County.
After graduating from Madill High School in 1943, he served in the Marines for five years. After his discharge from the Marines, he moved to Tulsa and worked for American Airlines for several years.
After his retirement from the airline, he moved to Palmetto, Fla. and was in the Kentucky Fried Chicken business with his brother George for several years.
He is survived by several neices and nephews, including Thomas Ed Matchen of Armore and Sue Matchen of Kingston; and his sister-in-law Doris Turner of Madill.
