Helen Faye Lasiter, 99, of Kingston, Okla. passed away on June 1, 2022, at her home in Kingston surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 27, 1922, west of Kingston to the Late Robert Lee Turner and Grace Johnson Turner. She grew up and lived in Marshall County her entire life.
On May 11, 1943, Helen married Henry (Babe) Lasiter who preceded her in death on May 10, 1974. She worked as a care provider with DHS for over 25 years and then with the Senior Nutrition Program in Kingston and Madill until the age of 92.
Helen joined the First United Methodist
Church in Kingston in 1933 and remained a member for 88 years. She enjoyed skating, dancing, bowling, and making beautiful quilts in her younger years. In her later years, she enjoyed talking to her many friends on the phone and most of all she loved her family.
Helen has been a board member of the Kingston Housing Authority for 40 plus years. Covid made the last few years very hard because she liked to stay on the go. Helen lived by the rule, “a Dr. Pepper a day will keep the Doctor away” and it did for many years.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Cross Timbers Hospice for their excellent care and compassion they provided the last days of her life.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband,;one son; Henry L. Lasiter; one Grandson; Derek Griffith; one sister; Juanita Dobson and four brothers; David, Willis, Doyle, and Sylvester.

She is survived by Mike O’Neal and wife Paula of Tulsa, Okla., Jo Stone and husband Steve of Big Springs, Texas, Robert Lasiter and wife Anne of Kingston, Okla., Pat “Bitsy” and Terasa Catron of Kingston, Okla., Susan Gemmill and husband Jim of Tucson, Ariz., Edward D, Lasiter of Kingston, Okla., Joyce Thompson and family of Springtown, Texas, Charles Turner and family, Macon, Mo.; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three great great grandchilren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and special friends, Jessie Thompson, Frances Cash, Inez Justice, Beverly Upchurch, Janis Underwood, Dot Richardson, Nadine Garrison, Floyce Buck, Doris Blakely, and Betty Weeks.
Visitation was held Monday, June 6, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla.
Funeral service were Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Okla. Joe Patterson and Brent Smith officiated the service. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
Casket Bearers were Larry Spence, Kenny Wheeler, Tommy Spence, Rodney French, Aaron Newcomb and David Carter. Honorary Bearers were Ralph Williams, Frank Johnson, Leon Sloan, Frog Henry, Ronnie Spence, Lonny Weeks, Leon Richardson, Dave Thomas, Mickey Bailey, George Keck, Buddy Segura and Keith Segura.
