What a beautiful Mother’s Day it turned out to be. I hope you were all able to get out and enjoy your day.
The Buncombe Strong tornado relief benefit that was held on April 30 was a huge success. I think I mentioned the donations were close to $50,000. Everyone really pulled together to make this a success.
Many are still trying to put their lives back in order. It will be some time before things are anywhere near to normal around here.
On Saturday, May 14 at 9 a.m., the Buncombe Creek Marina scheduled a volunteer clean-up for anyone interested in helping to get rid of the debris in and around the area to facilitate getting the docks and marina open and operational soon.
On Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to noon, the Open Arms Clothes Closet will again be operating out of the Baldwin storage unit #94 for anyone interested in getting some good clothes for any function.
The 13th Annual Golf Tournament will be held at the Buncombe Creek Golf Course at Willis, Okla. on Saturday June 4, 2022. This is their main fundraiser for the year to fund projects that will improve their ability to protect and serve.

The Kingston H.S. Graduation ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 7 p.m. Congratulations go out to all the seniors heading out on their respective paths of life.
