Lizbeth Fuentes is a senior at Madill High School. She has attended Madill public schools the last four years and has participated in film class. She has filmed football the last three years and filmed soccer the last two years. Her parents are Refugio and Larissa Fuentes, and she has two brothers named Abraham and Angel.
Fuentes said her favorite memory from her four years has been this year, her senior year. Getting to spend time during football season with her best friends and film crew members, Suzette, Mercedes, and Mya.
She said that she is grateful for all the football coaches because they have always been sweet and has never failed to put a smile on her face. She also noted what her greatest challenge has been, so far.
“My biggest challenge has been trying to figure out who I am and figure out what I want to do with my life,” Fuentes said. “I have gone through many different phases in high school, but I am happy to say that I like where I am right now.”
She said she has had many supporters, but her best have always been her parents.
“My parents are my biggest inspiration because they work hard every day to be able to provide a good future for me and my brothers,” Fuentes said. “We have been through so much as a family and I couldn’t be more grateful for them. I am thankful for everything they do for me and for always being the most supportive.”
After high school, Fuentes said she plans on attending the University of Oklahoma and start a new chapter in her life. Her advice for the younger classmates is to make smart decisions but also to live life and have as much fun as possible while in high school because the four years pass by fast. Also to be grateful for those true friends that have stayed through thick and thin.
