TFD: Merry Christmas
Christmas is here, or at least almost. Please remember our fire chief’s precautions on fire safety. Take it easy on yourself and don’t get too stressed out about COVID or the perfect holiday.

The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month at the Training/Community Center at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
The Texoma Fire District Auxiliary meets the third Monday of the month at 10978 Parkview, just south of Rooster Creek Bridge at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1:00 p.m., except this December meeting which will begin at 11:00 a.m.
The exercise/ stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and the cards/games are on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Auxiliary members are welcome to join in on the fun. Bring finger foods to share and have a fun time.
If you’re interested in renting the Texoma Community Building, contact Gayla Freeman at (580) 565-4043 and leave a message. She will get right back with you. The cost is $75 per day (must be a member of the Texoma Fire District).
If you are interested in joining the Texoma Volunteer Fire Department, contact Chief Todd Cissell at (580)565-4491. You can pick up an application from the mailbox at the Texoma Fire Station located at 10089 Texoma Park Rd., Kingston, Okla.
Training will be provided.
The Lighthouse Methodist Church at 4923 Alberta Creek Rd. has a free meal the last Wednesday of the month from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Come and enjoy their nutritious food, mostly homemade desserts, and warm fellowship. The Lighthouse UMC will also be holding a Christmas Open House on Sunday December 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., refreshments will be served.
