Geraldine Glendinning

Geraldine Glendinning, age 74, met her Savior on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was born in Grady, Okla. on July 13, 1947 to Albert and Clara Mae (Rye) Capehart.

Geri, as she was known to many, worked many jobs but in later years, as an LVN, both at Lake Forest Good Samaritan in Denton and at Pecan Tree in Gainesville. The job which gave her the most joy was being a cook and server at Lake Dallas Primary for 10 years.

Geri was an avid reader of mostly fiction or a good mystery. She was a diehard Sooner fan and would be found watching football or girls softball with her husband, John. A generous woman of both time and her treasures, she was always putting others above herself. Her family was her most prized possession, although she could strike up a conversation about her beloved dogs at any moment.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Albert and Clara Mae Capehart; and sisters, Dorothy Sparlin and Willie Mae Young.

Geri is survived by her spouse, John Glendinning, of Whitesboro, Texas; son, Steve Glendinning, of Kaufman County, Texas; daughter, Kim Glendinning Parker, of Tioga, Texas; one sister, Gracie Klein, of Kingston, Okla.; granddaughter, Shelby Shipley and husband, Aaron, of Denton, TeXas; grandson, Brett Parker and wife, Caitlin, of Collinsville, Texas; granddaughter, Kaylee Parker, of Austin, Texas; three great grandchildren, Nolan Shipley, Waylon Parker and William Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews who called her Aunt Jerle.
