Madill Rose Garden Club has chosen the yard of Ricky and Margaret Clark as the “yard of the month” for July. Margaret and Ricky’s home sits on a beautiful lawn of St Augustine grass with various well cared plants and ornamental focal points around the yard.
The front of the home is bejeweled with several colorful Dragon Fly ornaments collected as reminders of lost friends and family. Additionally, the flowerbed has been set with rose bushes of different varieties, along with metal ornamental decorations celebrating their love of dragon flies, windmills, turtles, and frogs.
The flower bed was designed by Ricky and his granddaughter, Olivia Sharp. Additional potted plants are scattered about decoratively, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere of the Clark’s yard.
There is a Koi Fish Pond with inviting chairs sitting around the edge. Margaret has a love of tortoises and turtles and they can be found wondering around the back yard.
While Ricky is an avid gardener and takes pride in his care of the couple’s plants and yard, this summer he is being assisted by his son-in-law, Bobby Sharp. Both Ricky and Bobby take pride in working with plants, flowers, and taking care of the yard.
The Clark’s home and yard truly reflects the couple’s love of their property and sharing the beauty of a well kept yard with their family and community. Congratulations to Ricky and Margaret Clark.
