James Windell Whiteley, 71, of Enos, Okla. passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.He was born on February 17, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Okla. to the late S.N. Whiteley and Peggy (Airington) Whiteley.
James was raised in OKC where he graduated from Capitol Hill High School before joining the Army. He joined the Army in 1969 and served in Vietnam, becoming a highly decorated soldier before being honorably discharged.
James worked for years installing windows in OKC. In 1983, he moved to
Kingston and began cooking at his mother’s restaurant. James then went to work for The Lodge in Kingston as the maintenance chief. He married Crissina Work on August 15, 2003, in Sherman, Texas. James was of the Catholic faith. James loved to hunt, fish, and play Texas hold ‘em.
He is survived by his wife, Crissina Whiteley of Enos, Okla., daughter, Shiela Schuldheisz of Sacramento, Calif., grandchild, Taylor Schuldheisz of Sacramento, Calif., sister, Nathia Thompson of Garden Grove, Calif., and brother, Ronnie Whiteley of Gordonville, Texas.
James was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Phillip WHiteley.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Interment will be at the Lark Cemetery in Enos, Okla.
Zach Poling will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
Casket Bearers will be Dustin Johnson, John Zweiner, Jonathan Boynes, Clayton Fauch, Jeremy Bishop, and Danny Furr.
