Floyd Cochran Flowers

Floyd Cochran Flowers, 88, of Alberta Creek, Okla. passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at his home in Alberta Creek. He was born on July 20,1932, in Caddo, Okla. to the late Floyd H.Flowers and Marie Craighead Flowers. Floyd was raised in Caddo where he graduated high school in 1950. He joined the Air Force and served for several years before retiring with an honorable discharge.
Floyd married Shirley Jean Williams
on May 12, 1953, in Caddo. They moved to Oklahoma City, Okla. where he worked for the Oklahoma City Stock Yards for 30 years, retiring in 1980.

He moved to Albert Creek on Lake Texoma and owned and operated the Flowers Mobile Home trailer park. Floyd was affiliated with the Baptist faith and served as president of the Central Oklahoma Dune Buggy Associa- tion. His hobbies were racing any sort of auto and his nick name was “Flash”.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Flowers of Alberta Creek, Okla., children; Neal Bruce Flowers and wife Mary Lou of Kingston, Okla., Vicki Lynn Glasco and husband Tom of Kingston, Okla., ten grandchildren; Todd Flowers, Tia Hazen, Rodrick Neher, Bradley Neher, Neal Flowers, Daniel Glasco, Casey Glasco, Julie Stephens and Laurie Shannon, nine great grandchildren; Lane Flowers, Lindsey Flowers, Graham Neher, Carson Neher, Harli Flowers, Kason Flowers, Kilah Flowers, Kawlin Ben- nington, Broklynn Little and Landry Snook, sisters Kay Hunter of Irving, Texas, and brother, Steve Douglas and wife Jeannie of Ardmore, Okla.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Hamilton, and one grandson, Shane Flowers.

Visitation was held Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a family hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral Service were Monday, July 19, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. In- terment will be at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla. Anthony Williams officiated the service. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
